| The proposal budget is an estimate of
how much money is needed to conduct your project by cost
category. The budget is developed concurrently with the
narrative. A budget justification follows the proposal
budget and is a narrative explanation of the need for
the items listed in the budget. Do not negotiate a budget
with the sponsor before routing and authorization by the
University.
