Our Purpose

To provide high-quality information services to the OU Community, regarding internal and external funding opportunities, workshops and training; and to provide policy and procedural information regarding proposal submission and grant administration.

Our Goals

• To distribute timely information from a wide spectrum of sources to faculty, staff and students regarding funding opportunities for research, creative activities and fellowships
• To distribute timely information regarding seminars, workshops and training opportunities provided by the Office of Research Services (ORS) and other organizations and agencies
• To provide timely information to the OU Community on policies and procedures relative to proposal submission and grants administration

Our Responsibilities

• To be both proactive in information dissemination and responsive to specific requests from the OU community in our delivery of services
• To facilitate the efforts of faculty, staff and students in securing funding for research, creative activities and fellowships
• To maintain accurate e-mail distribution lists through the University’s Information Technology Department and to determine the most effective means of distribution
• To distribute information on behalf of the ORS and funding agencies regarding policies and procedures for proposal submission and grant administration
• To organize and provide logistical support for training opportunities offered by ORS, other University departments, and external agencies
• To publicize training and workshop opportunities and to maintain a Workshop Registration page on the ORS web site
