Animal Care & Use in Research
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) provides assurance for humane procedures and care of live vertebrate animals in teaching and research as detailed in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and the Animal Welfare Act. Before research involving animal usage can be undertaken, the project will have to be reviewed and approved by the University's Animal Care and Use Committee.

Projects are reviewed monthly during the academic year and as needed during the summer. For requirements, contact the IACUC chair, Dr. Bill Shelton , at 325-2609.

    Current IACUC Certification.
